Good Old England

A little bit of good news for our friends across the pond:

SINGAPORE - London edged out Paris in the hotly contested race to host the 2012 Olympics. The British capital, which last had the games in 1948 while continental Europe was rebuilding in the aftermath of World War II, upset Paris 54-50 on the fourth ballot Wednesday.

I still think the people of Chicago would love the Olympics, I mean, McDonalds is based right down the street...

Daily Lee Blog

Derrek Lee was selected to his first all star game this year by the fans:

Chicago Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee, who has revived talk of a Triple Crown, was the leading vote-getter in the National League and will make his first start in the All-Star Game. Aramis Ramirez was named as a reserve and also will represent the Cubs.

Its about Time people!! Congrats to Scotty P. on winning the second chance vote!

Work

Sorry about the lack of posting everyone, the office has me in front of a computer and next to the boss. So my usual mid day posting have been temporarily cut off. I'll be back don't worry.

Pizza Time!

Jeff Webb from the St. Petersburg Times wrote about this:

Prisoner Patrick Zupo, who is serving his sentence one weekend at a time for driving with a suspended license at the county jail, allegedly helped himself to a slice of corrections officer Jose Pabon's pizza on July 22. The guard was miffed enough to press petty theft charges, and Zupo is scheduled to go to court for it on Aug. 3.

When is enough too much? I think this is a good time to talk about smaller government. The People need to relax.
