Who is less Funny Carrot Top or Pauly Shore? (I don't care how his name is spelled)

Christman Gift

I already know what i want for christmas!!

The Optoma DV10 is an all-in-one home theatre solution with stereo speakers, a DVD player, and 1,000 lumens projector. You just set it up on a table, pop in a desk, and you’re ready for some full screen projector action.

I wonder what Animal House would look like??

Dean Rears Ugly head

Has Howard Dean's campaign ruined the Blog??

US election officials have as yet eschewed oversight of the internet, siding with activists who claim an unregulated web is an essential incubator for expanded political participation and free speech.

However, subsequent presidential election campaigns have illustrated how online political activity has become increasingly sophisticated, leading to calls that bloggers who receive outside financial support should be identified and subject to regulation.

Figures, When the government does not understand something they just regulate it. Hey, Government, RELAX!!

Parrillo is behind

HEY Parrillo, I don't think your MAC is up to date.

Off the Field

Is this event: (cont below)

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Kenny Rogers' immediate future will be decided by Major League Baseball, following the outburst by the Texas Rangers ace that sent a television cameraman to the hospital and prompted a police investigation.

Rogers shoved two cameramen before the Rangers' game against the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday in a videotaped tirade that included throwing a camera to the ground, kicking it and threatening to break more.

Are players trying to ditch the traditional media?

Stern+Sirius Update

According to Howard's Homepage :

Howard said he had heard some rumors that they might be let out of their contracts in the fall and had heard some plausible explanations to support this. He said it had something to do with rating periods, advertising revenues and the like.

Please Don't Go yet, I still haven't made up my mind about the Satilite Radio thing yet

Obama Rd. 2

A little while ago a asked a question about Sen. Obama's luster

Peggy Noonan from the Wall Street Journal might see things similar:

So that's what Lincoln's for. Actually Lincoln's life is a lot like Mr. Obama's. Lincoln came from a lean-to in the backwoods. His mother died when he was 9. The Lincolns had no money, no standing. Lincoln educated himself, reading law on his own, working as a field hand, a store clerk and a raft hand on the Mississippi. He also split some rails. He entered politics, knew more defeat than victory, and went on to lead the nation through its greatest trauma, the Civil War, and past its greatest sin, slavery.

Barack Obama, the son of two University of Hawaii students, went to Columbia and Harvard Law after attending a private academy that taught the children of the Hawaiian royal family. He made his name in politics as an aggressive Chicago vote hustler in Bill Clinton's first campaign for the presidency.

You see the similarities.

There is nothing wrong with Barack Obama's résumé, but it is a log-cabin-free zone. So far it also is a greatness-free zone. If he keeps talking about himself like this it always will be

Don't get me wrong, I am no U.S. Senator but Barack needs something beyond so-so if he wants to park in the White House

Digging up the Truth

Just when I think I have heard everything Reuters pulls a fast one me:

BRUSSELS - The mourning parents of a traffic accident victim who visited their son's grave near Antwerp Friday evening were shocked to find the local gravediggers enjoying their annual barbecue at the graveyard.

WTF!! I wonder if they offered the family a drink

Bushy, Bushy, Bushy

Just found this on the "sphere":

Top Ten Ways George Bush Can Regain His Popularity
From the "Late Show With David Letterman":

10. Dip into social security fund to give every American free HBO
9. Use diplomacy to bring peace to Brad, Jen and Angelina
8. Try fixing Iraq, creating some jobs, reducing the deficit and maybe capturing Osama
7. Figure out a way for the Yankees to win a game
6. Replace his "country simpleton" persona with more lovable "hillbilly idiot" image
5. Use weekly radio address to give Americans a Van Halen twofer
4. Get Saddam to switch to boxers
3. Ditch the librarian and make Eva Longoria First Lady
2. Resign
1. Jump on Oprah's couch while professing his love for Katie Holmes

I am not trashing Bushy, but this is pretty funny

Sex tapes! Does anyone Care Anymore

Some news from the world of Mtv:

According to a representative for Eve, "This is a personal tape that was made years ago with her boyfriend of over two years. The fact that a private moment is being made public is a violation, and we would hope that people would respect her privacy as they would their own. Legal action has been taken to have it removed immediately."

There are some celeb sex tapes that I would personally love to see and they have not made it on the internet. How come every time a celeb needs a little PR boost they have a sex tape released. You don't hear Ron Jeremy complain about his sex tapes being released.

Bling, Bling, GONE!

Donovan Slack of the Boston Globe reported this Gem:

At a meeting of American business executives and Putin on Saturday in Russia, according to Russian news reports, Kraft showed his 4.94-carat, diamond-encrusted 2005 Super Bowl ring to the Russian president, who, after trying it on, put it in his pocket and left.

Interesting, the Russians have not changed a bit. Putin will probably go home and copy it and pass it off as an original (B-25?)

Getting Jiggy with the G's

Will Smith is calling out Rappers and Memembers of the Hip Hop Community:

"The impression is that black Americans are the dragon slayers. Here we are 13 percent minority in a foreign land, and yet we can make laws, change laws. If Jesse Jackson shows up at Coca-Cola, something changes."

I'm sorry Prince, there is a problem with this one. First of all, Tupac was a ganstar. The music gave him a release and way out of the "hood". The problem is not the music its the gangs.

Cross Walking(no Pun intended)

New Information of Crosswalks around the country:

A group named Cross Anytime of Kansas City, MO announced the discovery of some interesting information:
Tom Walker, leader of Cross Anytime said, "There have always been rumors that these codes existed. Mostly, they're used by politicians and city officials to get an edge in crossing the street. Now, we've freed the codes to the world, and everyone can walk without oppression."

So, remember those times when all you wanted to do is press the button! Ha! I knew it!!

He Gone

Sometimes Baseball goes a bit too far in their efforts to make a buck.

I'm at a lose of words... Read this

Iced Latte

Jim "Ice-cream" Oberwise just got some good news:

“We will be announcing our endorsement of Jim Oberweis for governor because he is the one candidate who is offering solutions to affect real change in both the Republican Party and the state’s education system, two of our major concerns,” said Lidia Downs, FTN’s executive director.

While I have not made my choice yet, I wish all participants good luck.

Don Petruck, your horse

During dinner i was asked about my top movies here they are:

1. Godfather II: director- Francis Ford Coppola(overall favorite)
2. National Lampoon's Animal House: director- John Landis (overall favorite comedy)
3. Taxi Driver: director- Martin Scorsese
4. Airplane!: directors- Jim Abrahams adn David Zucker
5. Robin Hood Men in Tights: director- Mel Brooks(Favorite Mel Brooks Flick)

There are the Top 5 in order. Notice that the newest movie was made in 1993. Says something about where the movies are going.

Swimming

Since I was about 5 years old I have been swimming competitively. I started on a year round club team and now swim in college. I always wonder if people feel that swimming is an important thing to learn?

T-I-double, Will be missed

On Friday, CNN reported some bad news:

Paul Winchell, a ventriloquist, inventor and children's TV show host best known for creating the lispy voice of Winnie the Pooh's animated friend Tigger, has died. He was 82.

This is crushing to me. Growing up i was a big Whinne the Pooh, I remember watching the movies then the live action TV show. The voices of those characters gave the show so much dynamic. If you talk to me for more than 2 minutes each day, you will realize
1. I do most of the talking
2. I like the sound of my own voice
Voice help us understand emotion and set characters apart.

Thank you for the memories

Steping into the Light

Cnet News. com staff writer Ina Friend revealed some monster info:

"We really think that RSS is going to be key to how people use the Internet in the future," said Gary Schare, a director of strategic product management for Microsoft's Windows unit. "Because of that we are betting really big on RSS in Longhorn by integrating RSS throughout the operating system."

I think that this news gives some real credibility to the blog and the new face of the instant access internet.

S.T.S (Stop the Sun)

We seriously need rain. I know some lifeguards that would disagree with me but things are getting pretty scarry. One of my many sources informed me that up until last night, it had been something like 22 days without rain.

Jim Paul of the associate press gave us this tid bit:
No other major corn-growing state has been as dry as Illinois, the nation's second-leading producer. Small sections of southern Wisconsin, northern Indiana and the northwest tip of Ohio report moderate drought, but Iowa - the top corn-producing state - has been largely unaffected, USDA says.

Finally Blago and the rest of the Chicago Lawmakers can blame something else for poor agriculture production in the state.

Z-Mail, gone??

Would some tell me where Eric Zorn has gone?

Feedburner

I just activated my feedburner account. There are lot of cool things as time goes on, there will be additions to the web page, hopefully for the better

Hope this works

If you are a fan of Baseball and a Fan of Blogs, Here is Tommy Lasorda's offical Blog. There are some real interesting stories from one of the games all time greats.

Weekend Cubs Blog

The Interleague Schedual is finally over with. Thank you Jesus. After taking 2-3 from the Red Sox, Getting Swept by the Yankees, and losing 2-3 at the hands of the Blue Jays, The Cubbies were able to salvage the White Sox Tournament by spliting the 6 games. The White Sox are a good team and since there is NO CUBS & SOX RIVALRY i would like to wish the 50 game winners good luck on the rest of their season, hopefully we'll be able to play 7 more in October.

Other Notes of Interest: Aramis Rameriz Grand Slam, that was his 5th. Derek Lee, had a couple of hits, drew some walks. And the Bullpen did not Implode, Nice job Novoa, Williams, and Dempster.

Cingular and Cell Phones

Recently I went to a Cingular Wireless story to look at the new phones. For some reason nowadays everything is becoming one big ordeal. All i wanted was to look at the phones and maybe purchase the new razor. But then i was informed that although my contract stated that i was entitled to new phone every year at the discounted rates, I would have to switch plans because the contract that we signed was with AT&T not Cingular. Furthurmore I would have to break my contract, pay the early termination fee, then pay more setup fees. So in the end the new phone would cost something like $600 with fees.

The great outdoors

I always wonder why my dad spends so much time in the backyard. Until he finally told me that it was his favorite child. He continued to tell me that its the only one that does not talk back. Thanks Dad!!
