Meet the Candidates

Last Night here at the LC (Loras College), we had the republican candidates for the 1st Congressional District of Iowa. Here are some of the pics:

Thats yours truely on the left, Iowa Rep. Bill Dix in the middle, and Austin Goodman on the right

Austin is on the right, Hopeful Brian Kennedy is in the Middle and I'm on the Left

It was interesting, but i'm going to continue to vote on the other side of the Mississippi. Good Luck to both Candidates

I was really impressed with Brian Kennedy. He's very articulate and has great ideas. I think that he would represent Iowa so well in Congress.

Brian Kennedy seemed more thoughtful on the issues. His specific answers to the questions tell me he is serious about this seat, and will not be just another Republican vote in Congress, but has what it takes to make things happen in Washington for his constituents here in Iowa.

Brian clearly has a message that conveys leadership and a plan that would produce results. Bill Dix's answers unfortuantely showed he had no plan while Brian has a detailed agenda for making Iowa and America a better place.

Many of my questions were answered, but the biggest question of the night has still not been answered: Where was Mike Whalen? Much time and effort was spent putting this event together and he didn't even have the courtesy to show up. Is that the kind of effort he would put into his Congressional duties?? Maybe he was off filming another Machine Shed TV ad...
